World Conference on Indigenous Peoples

At the first-ever World Conference on Indigenous Peoples, the Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs Martin Lidegaard and the Premier of Greenland Aleqa Hammond presented a joint statement.

The purpose of the conference is to exchange perspectives and "best practices" with regard to the implementation of indigenous peoples' rights, including the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples from 2007.
