Visa for China

Hong Kong International Airport is often used as a convenient point of entry for foreigners residing in Taiwan who wants to visit mainland China. Foreigners in Taiwan who hold a valid ARC can apply in advance for a visa to China through a travel agent. Visa to China through Hong Kong International Airport

Please prepare the following for visa application through Hong Kong International Airport:

  • Passport
  • Payment in cash: HKD
  • Passport photo
  • Copy of flight itinerary
  • Hotel reservations for the entire stay

Visa to China through a travel agent in Taiwan

Please prepare the following for visa application through travel agent:

  • Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) that is valid for at least 2 months
  • Minimum of 6 months validity in passport
  • Passport photo
  • Copy of ARC-"Proof of Employment Letter" (back and front) 
  • 2 business cards
  • Visa processing fee - price depends on the travel agency
  • Copy of flight itinerary

Where? Your local travel agency in Taiwan. Visas are granted for 30 days, allow one entry only and are valid for 3 months from the date of application. Please note that a visa application takes 7-10 working days to process, depending on the travel agency, and that some agencies may have additional requirements to the abovementioned.
