Danish Passport
You will need to make an appointment in order to apply for a Danish passport. You are required to fill in an application form and submit it together with supporting documents and a passport fee.
Passport application
Regardless of your age, you must submit the passport application form in person at The Trade Council of Denmark in Taipei. An appointment is necessary and should be made by phone or e-mail in advance. All payments can be made only in cash New Taiwan Dollar (NTD).

Passports for Adults (over 18 years)
Passport renewal or if your current passport has expired less than two years ago, please bring:
1. Passport application form - completed and signed. Please download the passport-application-form here.
2. Original documentation of your name change if you have changed your name after the issuance of your current passport. The name change has to be reflected in the CPR register before the passport can be issued.
3. Your current passport.
4. Cash for fee payment (NTD 5,400)
The Trade Council of Denmark, Taipei will take a digital photograph of you, collect your fingerprints as well as your digital signature. All of these details will be used in your new biometric passport.
Passports for Children (under 18 years)
It is preferable for both custodial parents and the child (irrespective of age) to appear in person at the Mission when submitting the passport application in order to sign the consent form and for the Mission to check the ID of the parents.
When applying for babies and very young children, please bring a photo, which meets the requirements for passport photos.
Furthermore, please prepare and bring:
• For first time passport or if your child’s passport expired more than 2 years ago:
1. Passport application form – completed and signed by one of the parents. Please download the passport-application-form here.
2. Declaration of consent signed by both parents. (Page two of application form.)
3. Original birth certificate – both parents’ names must appear on the certificate. If the birth certificate is issued in Taiwan it must be certified by a Notary Public and authenticated by the Bureau of Consular Affairs (BOCA) or one of MOFA’s Branch offices.
4. Parents’ passports or photo ID with signature.
5. Parents’ marriage certificate (only required if born abroad before 1 July 2014 and only the child’s father was a Danish citizen at the time of applicant’s birth).
6. Your child’s latest passport (if any).
7. Your child’s certificate of Danish Nationality, if such one has been issued (Statsborgerretsbevis/Indfødsretsbevis).
8. Cash for fee payment (NTD 5,400)

Emergency passport
If you lose your passport in Taiwan, you need to notify the local police station as soon as possible in order to get a police report. This report should then be brought to the Trade Council of Denmark, Taipei together with the following:
1. Passport photo meeting the Requirements for passport photos.
2. Completed passport application form. Please download the passport-application-form here.
3. Picture identification – this could be a driving license or a previous made copy of the lost passport
4. Cash for fee payment (NTD 8,500)
Processing time and validity
Processing time for applications for passports is around 3 weeks from the day of submission of application at the Trade Council of Denmark, Taipei.
Emergency passport may be issued on the same day.
Passport for adults are valid for 10 years. Passports for children under two years old are valid for 2 years and passports for children aged 2-18 are valid for 5 years.
Norwegian Passport
Norwegian citizens can apply for emergency passport and passports for children below 12 years of age at the Trade Council of Denmark, Taipei, after contacting the Norwegian Embassy in Singapore. Ordinary passport applications needs to be processed by an embassy or consulate with the proper equipment. Please contact the Norwegian Embassy in Singapore for more information.
