Schengen information

In order to enter a country of the Schengen area, travel medical insurance coverage of at least EUR 30,000 is required unless otherwise indicated. This insurance must be valid during your entire stay in the Schengen area and in case of multiple entries, your insurance must cover every entry into the Schengen area. Financial means
When entering and staying in the Schengen area, you must at all times be able to document that you have the necessary means to finance your stay together with the return trip or that you are able to obtain these means in a legal manner. A disposable amount of DKK 500 per day is expected if you are to stay in a hotel and DKK 350 per day if you are to stay at a hostel or similar accommodation.

As to the return trip, you must be in possession of either a valid return ticket or sufficient resources to purchase one. Please note that it is advisable to bring the invitation form if it is the case that you are invited by a host or a company in Denmark.

Consequences of misuse of visa
Misuse of a visa has severe consequences and may prevent you from obtaining a new visa for a period of 3-5 years. You will not be eligible for a new visa for a period of 5 years if:

• you stay in Denmark or another Schengen country for more than one month beyond the period indicated in your visa without a prerequisite permit (unless you can provide documentation that the overstay was due to circumstances beyond your control),
• you are expelled from Denmark,
• you apply for asylum in Denmark or another Schengen country, or
